Connexin Live 2018

The first ever Connexin Live – Building Smarter Cities technology conference will take place at the new Bonus Arena in Hull from 4pm on Thursday October 4, 2018.

Set to become one of the UK’s premier smart technology events, it will examine the importance of ‘Smarter City Operations’, ‘Smart in Health’, and ‘Smart in Education’.

Our smart tech event will also explore the following topics:

· Beyond the technology – how can smart cities improve quality of life for people and businesses?

· Overcoming barriers – what’s holding back our cities from becoming smarter and how we can overcome these challenges?

· Working together – how can we work together to deliver smarter, connected communities?

Bringing together business leaders and local government decision-makers

Our inaugural technology conference will bring together experts from leading businesses, local government, universities, and development organisations to make connections, explore synergies, and learn from one another.

Keynote speakers will include Arvind Satyam, Global Managing Director Smart Cities at Cisco, Furqan Alamgir, CEO & Founder at Connexin, as well as representatives from Hull City Council, Newcastle City Council, Northern Powerhouse, and Future Cities Catapult.

IoT and smart tech business use case insights

The emphasis will be on smart technologies such as LoRaWAN and Internet of Things (IoT) in real world business and industry applications. Expert speakers will use demonstrations and case studies to show how IoT technologies are boosting local economies and enhancing lives.

Furqan Alamgir, CEO & Founder, Connexin says:

“We are thrilled to be hosting our inaugural smart cities event in Hull, showcasing the amazing opportunities smart technologies bring, opening up possibilities that haven’t even been imagined yet.

In fact, there has never been a more exciting time to be part of the smart city journey. The time to embrace and harness this technology is now.

Smart cities are no longer merely the stuff of science fiction – our cities are evolving before our very eyes.”

The event will include round table and panel discussions as well as networking opportunities. Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Interested in being part of one of the UK’s leading smart tech events? Register for Connexin Xchange 2024
