13th November 2020 – Smart Infrastructure and IoT specialist Connexin today announced that it has appointed former Lloyd’s Register Vice President Digital Innovation, David Ryder to its growing IoT team.
Following the news of their recent Smart City contract wins, strategic investment provided by Whitehelm Capital and new additions at board level, David joins Connexin as its new Vice President (VP) IoT, supporting current IoT lead and CTO, Will Kebbell, in developing and managing Connexin’s IoT business.
David brings with him more than 35 Years of international leadership experience across blue-chip telecoms and media organisations including Lloyd’s Register, BT, Verizon, Ericsson and ESPN.
Having joined Lloyd’s Register as VP Digital Innovation in June 2017, David helped build the digital innovation team and positioned Lloyd’s Register as a key provider of digital services within the Marine and Energy sectors. Prior to his work at LR, David was IoT Managing Principal at Ericsson developing their business across Europe and spent over 20 years at BT where he launched the UK’s first public WiFi network.
