The important bits
Our broadband packages are subject to coverage and availabilities. Installation fees are subject to site survey and additional excess construction charges may be incurred. Installation equipment such as the radio transmitters for our wireless broadband packages and the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) for our fibre packages will remain the property of Connexin during the contract and must be returned to Connexin in full working order and in a good condition at the end of the contract. Connexin reserves the right to charge full price for the equipment delivered under this contract in the event of invoices not being paid on a timely basis, if the contract is terminated prior to the expiry of the minimum contract term, or if the equipment is damaged. How does it work?
A transmitter is installed at our mast site, which then connects to a receiver installed at your office. Easy peasy!
Fibre
Technology
With Connexin, we can offer two types of fibre services, FTTC and FTTP, both offering tremendous speeds and reliability.
FTTC.
With FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet), a fibre optic cable links your local street cabinet to a local exchange. From the street cabinet, a copper line is used to connect to your premises. Copper performs well in a short distance, while it is not fibre all the way, FTTC can still provide upto 80Mbps download speeds.
FTTP.
Unlike FTTC, FTTP (Fibre to the premise) consists of a full fibre optic cable from your local exchange directly to your premises. This provides tremendous download speeds with no slow down or sharing between other premises.
