Connexin wins at the 2024 Impact Awards

We’re delighted to announce that Connexin has won the ‘Data Initiative’ Award for Environmental Impact at the Digital Leaders Impact Awards 2024.

Connexin was nominated for its pivotal role in supporting Severn Trent’s Green Recovery Programme, taking the winning position for Data Initiative. Now in its 8th year, the Impact Awards celebrate the technology innovations for social impact that improve people’s lives and the world around us.

Water utilities face numerous challenges, from leakage and pollution to energy consumption and customer satisfaction. We collaborate with utility companies to deploy Smart Water Networks, harnessing the power of IoT (Internet of Things) and data to foster proactive responses and operational efficiencies.

Severn Trent Water stands as a prime example, reaping significant value from the data it is gathering through its advanced meter infrastructure (AMI) network, witnessing the advantages of reducing water consumption. Notably, response times to leaks and incidents have seen a staggering 76% reduction.

By leveraging real-time data, Severn Trent Water achieves precise consumption monitoring, accurate billing, swift leak detection, emissions reduction, and proactive asset management. This approach ensures a more efficient and environmentally friendly network operation.
