Connexin supports local North Hull charity, Unity In Community

We are pleased to welcome Unity In Community into Connexin Cares!
Unity In Community is a North Hull based charity, supporting the local community through a number of projects and services including, but not limited to, training courses, property and garden work, and most importantly, a weekly community food bank.
Food Bank Supporting Local Residents
The weekly food bank provides affordable food to the local community at only £2 for a small parcel and £4 for a large parcel. The service is available to anyone and often caters to many different dietary requirements if advance notice is given.
Community Partners Donate Produce
Run by volunteers, the food bank is open every Thursday morning from 9:30am at 501 Endike Lane, with produce donated by Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Co-op, as well as the public.
To welcome Unity In Community into Connexin Cares, our team held a food drive to support their efforts following an urgent appeal for items such as jars of cooking sauce, tinned beans, and packets of rice and pasta.
These donations were quickly organised and the community received them in parcels by Thursday morning, alongside fresh fruit and vegetables, turkey, and loaves of bread.
Food Bank Community Partnership Sees Results
We are delighted to be partnered with Unity In Community through Connexin Cares to help them achieve their mission of supporting the HU6 area with projects to ease the impact of the cost of living crisis.
