See how your workplace is really used
Whether you run a single HQ or a full estate, it’s hard to plan space on assumptions and what you hear in the office kitchen. Our occupancy sensors show what’s actually happening across desks, rooms and shared areas - so you can spot busy zones, quiet corners and recurring pinch points, then act with confidence.
If you use desk or room booking tools, we can integrate with them too. Handy for spotting no-shows and overbooked spaces.
Why Desk & Room Occupancy Monitoring?
1. Right-size space with real utilisation data.
2. Plan layouts around real working patterns.
3. Improve comfort with optional air and environment insights.
4. Prove decisions with simple reporting over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the monitoring actually measure?
Answer: It measures how spaces are used in real life - desks, meeting rooms and shared areas. You get a view of busy vs quiet, plus usage patterns over time (think peaks, troughs, and out-of-hours use).
If you choose the environment option, you can also track things like CO₂, temperature, humidity, light and noise.
Is it anonymous - are you tracking people?
Answer: No. We’re measuring space usage, not specific people.
The data is anonymised and designed to protect employee privacy while still giving you reliable utilisation insight.
How is this different from booking data?
Answer: Bookings tell you what should happen. Occupancy shows what did happen. So you can spot things like:
- Rooms that are booked but sit empty
- Areas that are consistently overcrowded
- Spaces nobody uses until a specific time or date
That’s where the savings and improvements usually are.
How often is data collected?
Answer: Typically, sensors send reads every 15 minutes, so you can see live status and longer-term trends without constant manual checks.
How accurate is it?
Answer: Detection accuracy is typically 90% or higher, depending on the space type and sensor setup. We’ll recommend the right sensor approach for desks, rooms and shared areas during scoping - making sure the solution is personalised for your building.
Can we monitor multiple buildings, floors and zones?
Answer: Absolutely. Many customers start with a pilot, then roll out across their wider portfolio once they see the impact.
Our dashboards are built to cater for large estates. You can view data across portfolios, buildings, floors, zones, rooms and desks, then filter down to the detail when you need it.
Can we get alerts for issues like overcrowding or poor air quality?
Answer: Yes. You can set threshold-based alerts, for example:
- Occupancy exceeds a safe or desired limit
- A booked room stays unused
- CO₂, temperature or noise goes above your chosen threshold*
You also get an event log, so you can see what happened, where and when.
*Indoor Environment Monitoring is an optional add-on.
