Connexin welcomes Simon Burckhardt, adding further fire power to its Fibre business

21st March 2022 – IoT and fibre infrastructure specialist Connexin has today announced that it has appointed former Kelly Group CEO, Simon Burckhardt as CBE Managing Director.

As Connexin continues to ‘bust Hull’s broadband monopoly’ with its current fibre build, Simon Burckhardt joins the senior team, bringing over a wealth of telecoms knowledge from a range of previous C-Level roles.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Simon was most recently CEO of Kelly Group, a Tier 1 contractor, building and installing networks for the main providers in the UK including Openreach, Virgin Media, City Fibre and Community Fibre. Prior to his role at Kelly Group, Simon has worked within a range of innovative tech and Telecoms organisations including as Managing Director of Vonage UK, the NAZDAQ listed VoIP and UCaaS provider; Chief Commercial Officer roles in operating companies at both Telefonica O2 and Ooredoo; and senior marketing and strategy roles at BT.
