From there, you can download the latest version of the Nokia Software Updater, and update the latest version of S60 into your phone.

Once your phone has been updated, please follow the guide below to configure your phone for use with a wireless access point. When you have configured your wireless access point, please follow on to Guide 2 to configure your phone for use with your Connexin VoIP number.

Nokia Wireless Access Point Configuration Guide

From your standby screen, press themenu button on the phone's number pad.

Select Tools.

Select Settings.

Select Connection.

Select Access points.

Press the Options button, then select New access point and Use default settings.

Within this series of settings, you will need to enter the following information:

Connection Name: The name you would like to use to easily identify this access point. E.g. Connexin.

Data Bearer: Change this to Wireless LAN

WLAN netw. name: This option refers to the SSID of your wireless network. You can either enter the SSID manually, or Search for netw., this will then perform a scan of wireless networks within your vicinity. Choose your preferred network, and press Select.

Network status: Set to Public

WLAN netw. mode: Set to Infrastructure

WLAN security mode: Choose your wireless access point’s method of security, if your network is not secured then choose Open network. Otherwise, you have the option of WEP, 802.1x, WPA/WPA2.

These settings depend entirely on how you have configured the security access for your wireless network. If you are unfamiliar with how to alter these configurations, or are unsure of the following wireless key information, please speak to the administrator of your wireless network.

WLAN security sett: The options presented here are relative to your choice in the previous option. As WEP is the most common security mode across wireless networks, we have only covered configuration of this method.

If you are using other methods of wireless security, please refer to your Nokia documentation for assistance in configuring your wireless network security, or speak to your wireless network administrator.

WEP key in use: Choose the key number, (ie. #1, #2 etc) that you wish to use. Within the WEP key settings you can assign four separate keys. If you are only using one WEP key, choose #1.

Authentication type: Choose between Open or Shared. If you are unsure, choose Open as it is the most common method.

WEP key settings: After selecting this, you will notice tabs #1 to #4 across the top of the screen, this corresponds with the number chosen for WEP key in use. Please choose the tab relevant to that selection.

WEP encryption: Choose 64 or 128 bit encryption

WEP key format: Choose between Hexadecimal or ASCII

WEP key: Enter your WEP key

Press Back repeatedly to the Settings menu. You have configured your Wireless Access Point, and are ready to configure your phone for use with your Connexin VoIP phone number.
