A SIP trunk is basically a connection between your phone system and us which allows voice traffic to be exchanged. When a call is placed from an internal phone to an external number, your phone system sends the necessary information to us, we then carry the call to the dialled number.
Utilising the SIP technology to make voice calls over the Internet rather than across traditional providers reduces capital and operational costs.
