- Call Recording
Some businesses may need to record calls for security or training purposes. Some businesses in the financial, medical and legal sectors are bound by compliance rules (ie. Data Protection Act & FSA regulations) and they are legally obliged to record and store phone calls.
With Connexin Call Recording can be enabled for all phone users in your business or just for selected users. These recordings can be listened to or downloaded via the admin login.
Please note that if you choose to record your calls, you are obliged to inform callers that they are being recorded.
Often the easiest way to do this is to play a message to the caller before they are connected.

- Call Conferencing
The Connexin Call Conferencing Service is a powerful tool. It allows you as a user to manage multiple conference rooms for multiple users, each of which can be set with administrator and guest access codes. Rooms can also be set as temporary with a finite lifetime or permanent an infinite lifetime.
With Connexin Conferencing, your organisation can create pin-protected conference rooms which can be dialled into from anywhere in the world. Forget 3-way calling, the Connexin system can support an unlimited number simultaneous of users.
Although the system can support an unlimited number of users, it is recommended to keep it to a reasonable number so it is more manageable for you as the Admin.

- Call Pickup
Call Pickup is one of the coolest features on the phone system. You can pick up any ringing phone in the office without having to get up and physically walk across the room to pick up the call. You can pick up the call by dialling a short code on the handset nearest you!
The short code can be set to whatever you like. It is recommended to set it to something that is easy to remember.
- Call Parking
Call Parking allows the user to place a call on hold, move to a different location, and then resume the call from any other phone within the Phone System by dialling a pickup code.
The pickup code can be set to whatever you like. It is recommended to set it to something that is easy to remember.

- Fax to Email
No need to buy an expensive fax machine! With a Connexin Fax to Email number, people can send faxes to you as they normally would to a traditional fax number. Our system then converts the fax into a PDF document which is forwarded across to an email address of your choice as an attachment. Simple.
Just like our borderless phone numbers, you can have a fax number in any area code that fits your requirements.
Email – Configure your email address on your smart phone so you can view your Faxes on the move. Our system can convert faxes in to multiple formats such as JPEG and PDF both of which are supported by most smart phones these days.
- Intuitive Voice Menu System (with Auto Attendant and Ring Group Functionality)
The Intuitive Voice Menu System answers incoming calls to your main office number, and then routes them according to your requirements. The service can be time and date dependent, so that during your out-of-hours period, callers will hear a different message to callers who phone during working hours.
The system can be set as an Auto Attendant or as a Ring Group depending on requirements and preferences.
Auto Attendant - this is a virtual switchboard which can be configured via a web interface. You can record your own voice greetings to welcome your customers and setup different departments to direct callers to the right people in your team. A typical Auto Attendant would go something like this: "Thank you for calling Connexin, please choose from one of the following 3 options - press 1 for sales, 2 for support and 3 for accounts."
Ring Group - if you prefer calls to be answered directly by members of your team, you can setup the system to act as a ring group. You can setup the ring group to ring everybody simultaneously, sequentially or randomly. This is particularly useful for a small team of people who handle everything within the business.
Multi-Level Auto Attendant – You can have as many levels as you need on the voice menu. For example, after pressing option 1 for sales, you can further filter calls by setting two sub-options such as, 1 for Residential Sales and 2 for Business Sales etc.
- Advanced Call Forwarding
Automatically route incoming calls to a number or numbers of your choice. This could be your office number, home number, mobile, or even an overseas number. There are several call forwarding methods such as forward when busy and forward when no answer, or you could just set it to forward straight away.

Forwarding Mode – there are several forwarding options designed to help you route calls more efficiently. This is especially useful when you have more than 1 number on the forwarding list. You can set it to forward in order, at random or simultaneously where all numbers ring at the same time.
- Caller ID Withhold
You can protect your identity and privacy by turning on the Caller ID Withhold option. By default, this is set to off so your caller ID will be displayed. You can easily switch this on/off by logging into your Admin control panel.
- Shared Caller ID
Each number comes with its own caller ID and by default, this caller ID shows when you make an outgoing call. Your caller ID can be changed to show whatever number you want, within reason! This is particularly useful if you have a group of people working in Sales for example, and you want all outgoing calls from these people to display the main Sales number to give a unified professional image.
We can even help you show a caller ID of a number that belongs to a different number provider, as long as you can provide evidence of ownership of that number.
- Personalised Music on Hold
Provide a musical interlude for callers who are waiting on hold. You can either have the same Music on Hold clip for all your business lines or you can let each of your employees chose their own Music for that extra personal touch.
Consider playing different genres in different departments. For example, it's a good idea to play some soothing music on the Support line!!
- Call Transfer, Call Hold, DND
With The Connexin Hosted Phone System you can transfer calls at the touch of a button, put calls on hold and set your phone to Do Not Disturb so any calls coming in will either be directed to your forwarding list or to voicemail.
